Convex Lens Ray Diagrams

Physics • Optics • Grade 10

A convex lens converges incoming parallel light rays. Drag the orange arrow left and right to change its distance from the lens, and observe how the light path and the resulting image size, orientation, and position change dynamically.

Image Parameters

Parallel Rays (At Infinity)

When the object is placed exactly at the Focus (F₁), the refracted rays exit parallel to each other. The image is formed at infinity, highly magnified, real, and inverted.
